Module 7

1. The best thing about the fisrt part of DOTCOM is that I learnt how to use the internet and computers better.  Also, I used new technologies like youtube.  The project has also helped me make new friends.  It's also interesting that we have been able to meet people through the internet.  I really enjoyed the special guests.

The most challenging part has been using youtube because our school internet connection is slow so it takes a long time to download.

The thing I would change is that there should be a page where everyones blog address is written- Armenians, Azeris, and Americans.  It would make it easier to communicate to eachother.

2.  The clip I have picked is from the movie Taxi 4.  Ther are four different movies.  They are all funny but the first and fourth are the funniest.  I would like to put both but 4 is the best.  It's funny because people do silly things.

My school and class

Our school is named after Souren Arakelyan. He is a war hero. Perhaps you have read about him in your history books. Our school participates in many projects and has been recognized as one of the best schools. It is the only school in tatev and students from other villages come here to study. My class' name is the foreign language class. In my grade there are 11 pupils: 7 girls and 8 boys. Over the years it has gotten smaller. Many families have left our village to go to the city and to Russia. In first grade we had 17 pupils. My classmates and I like to organize gatherings. We are going to have a gathering on "jerakalyuis". It is the day before Easter. We are going to distribute light to our village. For the monestary we are going to light candles and bring them to families in our village. When I'm not in the village I miss my classmates very much.

Module # 5

This Clip uses the Limbic Brain because we are watching and listening to music.  It also uses the neocortex because when the clip begins it is written the name of the clip and that is sponsored by covergirl.

1. Symbols: In this case, the umbrella represents protection.

2. Hyberbole: When Rihanna says she'll "be here forever" it is hyberbole.

3. Repetition: Rihanna repeats words as well visuals are repeated.

4. Beautiful People: Rihanna and Jay-Z 

5. Timing:  This clip is edited in time with the music and is edited to be interesting.

These are pictures from around the Tatev monestary.  In these pictures are my friends, my sister, and myself.  The monestary is one of my favorite places to spend time. Module #3

I chose this clip because it is interesting that Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who were once enemies, are now working together. This clip appeals to the reptilian brain because there is a lot of gunfire and explosions; you feel afraid that they could die. The limbic brain is influenced by the music that is somewhat calming. This clip does not influence the neocortex.  

Module #2

1. Books have an important place in everyone’s life. When you read a book you gain knowledge. People can learn about history and interesting events from books. You gain better vocabulary from reading. I love to read books and enjoy non-fiction, poetry, mystery, and joke books.

2. Besides books I like reading newspapers and magazines. Newspapers describe current events in Armenia and around the world. Usually, I read newspapers but I’m more interested in magazines that are about celebrities. Yes!, Yes!Girl, Qez Hamar, and Menua are my favorite because they describe different celebrities, have horoscopes, and recipes.

3. Music is an integral part of a person’s life. I can’t imagine a person who doesn’t like music. Music makes people happy. It is especially important for holidays and celebrations. It’s interesting to me how people follow music from around the world. I enjoy people who can play instruments. I wish I could play an instrument. I hope to study the piano. I listen to pop, R&B and modern music. I listen to music on MP3, DVD, and performances. Emmy, Madonna and Shakira are my favorite singers. 

4. Young to old people like to watch TV. They gain knowledge from TV. It helps people relax. I also like to relax by watching TV. Everyone can use and access a TV. I like to watch Yerku Aster, Hay Aspet, and Bonus are my favorite shows. I like them because from Hay Aspet and Bonus you gain knowledge. (They are game shows.) I enjoy Yerku Aster because it’s interesting to listen to the songs. My favorite channels are ArmeniaTV, Shant, and MTV, and Animal Planet.

5. I like to play video games. I play with my sister. But, It’s difficult form me to wait for her to finish her turn. I really like to play but I don’t have that much free time. Currently I like to play Mario because it has interesting level in which you need to save the princess.

6. Everyone uses computers. You can say that computers are an information spring. I hope that in the future everyone will be able to equally use computers. I use computers to study Armenian through games, to participate in different projects, and to do school work.

7. Internet is used by many people and informs them. I use internet everyday. I don’t have internet in my home. I use our school’s computer room. On the internet I go to different sites to do research for class and to research my interests.
